I happened upon these two abulances that had been in storage a long time. Some restoration had been started a long time ago apparently. The ambulances are late 40's Roadmasters with inline 8 cylinder engines. The white one still has the gurney in the back along with most of the related equipment. These things are totally extinct - the primary motivator for the picture. There is a society (car club) for these service cars. Not even any of their members know of any intact examples of this truck size car. In those days the ambulances were run by the Civil Defense Dept, that's why it's green. They are still owned by the city. That's a city garage so it's likely that they have been sitting around since at least the 60's. I am not sure which picture I sent. I took 3, 2 came out with orbs which to me seem like a camera problem or something. It was when I was showing the pictures to people (other than gear heads) that they gasped at them. Realizing that the other pictures did not have the anomoly is what made me want to send them out for opinions. Whats your opinion??
